8/30/2023 0 Comments Vienna billy joel bpm![]() I hope you’ll continue with me on this musical adventure and will come back next week for the next review.I know many of you amazing sportsters out there are happy to run only to the sound of the birds tweeting, whilst your feet rhythmically pitter patter and the wind gently kisses your face. Joel truly impressed me with this album and I hope you’ll give it a try! There were a few songs I didn’t mention-but hopefully the ones that were mentioned pull you in the direction of the album. With this notion in mind, think about what yours is. Peace with and within yourself-it’s a deep breath-a deep inhale and long exhale. To me, that song is an ode to “stopping to smell the roses.” A ballad dedicated to the little things and those who beat themselves up over “losing a day or too.” Yet, Joel reminds us that even if we want to “take the phone off the hook and disappear for a while,” “Vienna” will still be waiting for us when we are ready to come back. Two other songs on the album that follow this same theme of growing up are “Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song)” and “Vienna.” In the case of Vienna, although Joel’s original intent with the song was a “growing up” metaphor, like all forms of art, it can be interpreted in many ways. However, there is a bit of longing between the pair as the song comes to a close as Brenda and Eddie finish their wine and agree to meet again, “Anytime you want / at our Italian restaurant.” When we enter their scene, they appear to have taken some time apart and progressed well beyond their former selves, a theme (growing up) commonly found in Joel’s works. It wasn’t until I looked closely at the lyrics that I realized that the pair at the table were perhaps Brenda and Eddie. The listener follows them through their high school years up to their divorce after dealing with money problems. After another New Orleans-esque jazz piano break, the song changes to a narrative about young lovers, Brenda and Eddie. ![]() “Things are okay with me these days / Got a good job, got a good office / Got a new wife, got a new life / And the family’s fine / We lost touch long ago / You lost weight I did not know / You could ever look so nice after.” By their exchange, it’s clear they knew each other previously and are coming back together after time apart. However, as the song progresses, you learn more about the couple’s relationship. This section feels like small talk, upbeat and cheerful, as the listener gets to pull up a chair, to overhear the conversation of the couple. Then the song transitions to a quicker jazzy tempo at 95 bpm. The opening, a piano ballad at 70 bpm, sets the stage of the romantic ambiance of this “Italian restaurant.” You can practically see the couple, sitting beneath a lone light, leaned over the white cloth table as they order their wine. ![]() This 7-minute song is broken into 5 parts, a collection of styles combined to tell a story. Of the two, “She’s Always a Woman to Me” was my personal favorite with some of the most imagine-rich lines like “And the most she will do is throw shadows at you / But she’s always a woman to me.” Be honest, can’t you imagine her strut down the sidewalk at just the utterance of those words? But as much as I love that one, the love song that stuck out to me the most was “A Scene from an Italian Restaurant.” With this album’s release, listeners receive some of the most iconic and truly authentic love songs–for example, “She’s Always a Woman to Me,” an unconditional love story about falling for your partner’s quirks as hard as you fall for them, and “Just the Way You Are,” which is an ode to just that. I believe, though, that someone who enjoys that style may enjoy the song. Although the album is almost completely unskippable, there were a few like “Everybody Had a Dream,” the gospel edition to the album, that wasn’t my personal favorite. Joel and his range of jazz and ballads on this album, tell stories of love, loss, and what it means to grow up. ![]() Songs like “Everybody Has a Dream” and “Get it Right the First Time” were ones I’d never heard before and I was excited to give it a try. ![]() I’ll confess, although I was previously familiar with the classics like “Vienna” and “Only the Good Die Young,” most of “The Stranger” was, to me, just that. Ironically, Joel is currently on tour and will be performing at Madison Square Garden next weekend, April 22nd, 2023. This week’s color was gray and Billy Joel’s fifth studio album “The Strangers” fell onto my lap. I hope you’ll come with me on this musical journey. Why records? Why not just listen to it on my phone? My answer: my record player doesn’t have a skip button. I will spin a color wheel and whatever color it lands on is the color of the record that I will buy from the discount bin at Spina Records on Easton Ave. In an effort to expand my musical palette, I devised a game. You can do it for almost any part of a frame or packet. Well, that’s up to your imagination and your needs. You can see how it’s done below.įrom that point on, the moment you find a frame that you are interested in searching on the source IP, just click on that custom button and you’ll get a view of the packets from this source IP address only. To create and save this filter is super easy. Wireshark allows easy creation of custom buttons. Let’s move to the next step, operationalizing this. This is how you can do dynamic filtering in Wireshark. It’s also possible to filter out packets to and from IPs and subnets. We can filter to show only packets to a specific destination IP, from a specific source IP, and even to and from an entire subnet. ![]() Consider this: This will look for ethernet destination addresses that have a 0xFF followed by something (or. This allows you to define regular expression matches. For example, the following filter says “ filter the source IP address that matches the source IP address of the frame I have currently selected” With Wireshark we can filter by IP in several ways. In your case 01:02: (anything):04:05, if we do not know length of (anything) this may not work. For example, to only display TCP packets, type tcp into Wireshark’s display filter toolbar. To only display packets containing a particular protocol, type the protocol into Wireshark’s display filter toolbar. The magic part is that you can also do dynamic matching. Display Filter Fields The simplest display filter is one that displays a single protocol. That’s something that everyone who ever used with Wireshark knows really well. You can see how this looks like in the GUI in the following screenshot. For example, to find all the communication of source IP address 192.169.1.140 the filter would look like this. 5 How to censor IP addresses in a file with Python 296 How to filter by IP address in Wireshark 2 Wireshark filter per ip. We all know that in the filter bar of Wireshark we can write a simple filter based on the source IP address. Wireshark filter per ip address 'different from' something. ![]() The idea is to have a button in Wireshark‘s GUI that you can click when you have selected a frame for a source IP you are interested in, and it will dynamically create a filter to show you only the frames that are related to this IP address. Yesterday I learned a super useful trick for Wireshark. Filtering Packets Inspecting Packets Wireshark, a network analysis tool formerly known as Ethereal, captures packets in real time and display them in human-readable format. After a restart, I checked the "About This Mac" box, and low and behold, I had the green light, "Processor: 1.5 MHz Power PC G4." Yippie! It's been running so smoothly for over a month-no problems. Nonetheless, I moved forward and installed the processor very carefully. Obviously, I got a previously installed or returned processor (not cool). Plus, the package seal had been opened, and the connector joining the fan had come off, so the posts were bent. The only thing I ran into is that the screwdriver OWC provided was just slightly too big for one of the screws. I used the included wrist grounding strap and made sure to reduce any static charge before touching the daughterboard. Whew! The actual replacing of the processor was fairly simple. Then I did the whole wiping, reformatting, installing, wiping again, and restoring. (I highly recommend making disc images using Carbon Copy Cloner, donationware from I made sure my OS 9 and OS X installer CD's were bootable. Note that you can reduce install time by installing minimal stuff though. No such luck, 'cause, at least for me, I got an unhappy dialog box saying I couldn't do just that, so I had to actually install OS 9. Now don't think you can cheat by booting from your OS 9 installer or restore CD and just copying the system folder to your drive. Thank goddess for having an upgrade disc, rather than having to download it from Apple's website and for those discs not being scratched or otherwise damaged. Then, install OS 9.0.4 onto one of my (newly formatted) partitions. AAARRRRRGHGHHHHH! So, this meant I needed to wipe my internal drive (both partitions) and re-initialize them with OS 9 drivers. And, to have OS 9 run on a partition, you have to have the OS 9 driver installed on that drive. Not just any old version of OS 9 will do either, it has to be OS 9.1 or higher. I found this out from the Apple support document the OWC manual refers you to (). And, you need to boot in OS 9 from a local partition, not just the installer CD. Now, to upgrade your firmware to version 4.2.8, you need to boot in OS 9. This is also the case for the Gigabit Ethernet and Digital Audio models of G4. What I didn't know is that I would have to upgrade my G4 firmware to version 4.2.8 before installing the new processor, since I owned an AGP Graphics G4 running firmware version 3.something. I was excited! The box arrived, and when I opened it, I thought, "How smart, they even included a screwdriver. I wanted more without having to buy a new computer, so I bought a 1.5 GHz G4 processor upgrade. "Oh yes, it's very simple!" said the guy on the other end of the phone at OWC. ![]() ![]() ![]() In Java, OOP concepts allow us to create specific interactions between Java objects. Java supports object-oriented programming, along with other popular languages like Python and C++. This works particularly well for large team projects where states change often. Using OOP, programmers can create classes in order to iteratively reuse code, with the same set of “instructions” being sent to different objects, rather than coding each operation from scratch each time. Object-oriented programming focuses on objects made up of both data (fields) and code (properties or attributes). In this guide, we’ll look into both the theory and practice of object-oriented programming to help you write performant and error-free Java code. While these concepts are crucial for creating well-structured Java programs in the development phase, implementing crash reporting can also help you catch the errors your end-users encounter in the operation and maintenance phase of the software development life cycle. Java comes with specific code structures for each OOP concept, such as the extends keyword for the inheritance principle or the getter and setter methods for the encapsulation principle. There are seven core principles of object-oriented programming, as follows. ![]() OOP concepts are intended to improve code readability and reusability by defining how to structure your Java program efficiently. ![]() Java is a class-based object-oriented programming (OOP) language built around the concept of objects. They still have about seven more minutes to go after you’ve stirred. Don’t make it scary, don’t move them around so much that they threaten to splash. When it does, grab a pair of tongs and give your fries just the gentlest stir in the bubbling oil. At this point, that timer you set about 15 minutes ago is about to go off. TS: Use a thermometer if that makes you feel more comfortable. They will carryover cook to bring them up to about 130 degrees which is our target for medium-rare. Pull them from the heat at that point, and set them aside. ![]() Once your steaks are cooked – this will take about 8-12 minutes or so – they will be at about 125 degrees. TS: They are still going for it back there, and they are doing great. SS: Those french fries are still in the background, right? Cook about four-to-seven minutes on each side. You’ll heat up a slosh of oil in a skillet, put it over high heat until it shimmers, and add the steaks to the skillet. The reason you pat them dry is you want to achieve a nice crust on the exterior of your steaks. Pat your steaks dry, and sprinkle them with salt and pepper. You take two one-pound steaks, cut them in half, right down the middle, and there will be plenty for four people. Two, it’s easier to cook four portions in one skillet. One, they’re more available and easy to get. But we chose strip steaks for a couple of reasons. In restaurants, you’ll often find steak frites made with hanger steaks – sometimes called onglet. Then, rather than obsessing about the fries, let them be, and turn your attention to your steaks. Instead, set a timer for 15 more minutes. In about five minutes, the oil will start to bubble. Cover the potatoes with oil, put the Dutch oven onto the burner, turn it on to high, and stand back. TS: The reason we use peanut oil is it has a neutral flavor and the ability to withstand high heat better than some oils. SS: Oh, come on, that’s against all the rules! Cut the potatoes, put them into a cold Dutch oven, and cover them with about six cups of peanut oil. We choose Yukons for flavor, but they’re also less likely to fall apart in the frying process. You want to look for a slightly bigger Yukon Gold, not the little baby-sized ones you don’t want mini fries. For four people, we call for about two-and-a-half pounds of Yukon Gold potatoes, cut into quarter-inch fries. Next, you’re going to prep your potatoes. You will use this later to dry the fries once they’re done cooking, but do it ahead of time so it’s ready when you need it. ![]() TS: You’re going to line a sheet pan with three layers of paper towel. But it is the thing that opens the door for a home cook to achieve this quite easily. It goes against everything you think you need to do for deep frying. TS: We have a french fry technique that we love it starts with cold oil. At a restaurant, they have the significant advantage of having two cooks, one on the meat station, and one on the fry station. And there is no bigger crime than cold fries. I think it’s because of the timing it’s tricky to get everything to table hot, especially the fries. What do we need to know to make that at home? I want to take on a classic dish: steak frites the classic bistro dish is absolutely delicious. Sally Swift: I love it when you guys take something that we normally only eat in a restaurant and teach us how to do it at home. Managing producer Sally Swift discussed the process with him, and got his recipe for Easy Steak Frites. Tucker Shaw is executive editor of Cook’s Country magazine. Thankfully, our friends at America’s Test Kitchen have fine-tuned the timeline for making the dish in your home kitchen. But, to get the two components cooked right and served hot – at the exact same moment – is a feat in itself. As its French name implies, it is just steak and fries. ![]() 8/30/2023 0 Comments Downton abbey movie trailer![]() In addition, small items keep disappearing from the house.īertie and Edith Pelham, Lord and Lady Hexham ( Harry Hadden-Paton and Laura Carmichael), arrive the day before the royal couple is due to visit. ![]() While Richard Ellis ( Max Brown), the King's valet, treats the Downton staff kindly, the rest of the entourage are arrogant and rude, making it clear that the royal staff intends to supplant that of Downton for the duration of the visit.
